NEU is the proposed network token of neutral. It is not issued. There is no sale, no allocation, no circulating supply and no price — anywhere on this site or anywhere else. This page exists so the design is public and criticisable before anything is minted.
Purpose
NEU does two things and deliberately nothing else: it pays for use of the venue, and it votes on how the venue is run.
- Fees
Trading, settlement and listing fees on neutral. are payable in NEU at a published discount to the stablecoin rate. The discount is a schedule, not a yield: holding NEU pays you nothing on its own.
- Governance
One token, one vote on the things a venue actually decides — which instruments are listed and delisted, the fee schedule itself, market-maker programmes, and how protocol fee revenue in the treasury is spent.
What NEU is not: not a claim on revenue, not a security, not a deposit, not a promise of return. If a future version of this plan changes that, it changes in public, here, before issuance.
Issuance
A single fixed supply minted once at genesis, with no inflation function and no mint key retained. Every allocation below unlocks on a published, on-chain vesting schedule that anyone can verify.
Distributed to people who actually trade, list, provide liquidity and vote — earned over time, not airdropped at launch.
Held by the protocol, spendable only by governance vote. Funds liquidity lines, audits and access programmes.
Team and early contributors, multi-year vesting with a cliff, on the same public schedule as everyone else.
Any sale happens only in jurisdictions where it is lawful, under disclosure, and never before the plan is final.
The exact percentages are not published yet, because publishing a number we would later revise is worse than publishing none. They land here — with the audited contract address — before genesis, not after.
How it trades
When NEU exists, it is listed on the neutral. exchange the same way every other instrument is, with no privileged path.
- One symbol space
NEU joins the same catalogue as crypto, tokenized equities, Neutral bonds and member listings, and matches on the same members' order book — market and limit orders, price-time priority.
- Quoted in USD
The reference pair is NEU/USD. Until there is a real venue feed, no price is shown, because there is no price to show.
- Self-custody by default
NEU is held in your own wallet. The Neutral Wallet in this app derives and encrypts keys on your device — we never hold them.
- Public order flow
Depth, fills and the fee schedule are published. No hidden internal book, no volume figure we cannot evidence.
Nothing on this page is an offer to sell a token or a solicitation to buy one. Neutral Coin does not exist yet. No price, supply figure, valuation or return has been published by us, and any such figure you see elsewhere attributed to NEU did not come from neutral.
